This zippy was designed in honor of a very special little girl, Miss Madilyn Lane Jeffers. She was born a warrior, with a defect of the heart called Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary artesia. She had an open heart surgery after a failed stent, and was sent home to grow with another surgery ahead. Madilyn was called home to Heaven before this surgery could take place. She spent four months on this earth, and in that time made such a huge, life long impact on both our family and so many others. Her resilience and sweetness will never be forgotten, and our “cousin crew” will never be complete without her here. At her funeral, the song Bluebonnets (Julia’s song) by Aaron Watson was played, and now those flowers remind us of her.
I hope that whenever you see this in your drawers, you think of Madilyn and her family. Use it as a reminder that life is short, and people who should be here with us, aren’t around forever. Make the time to spend with your loved ones, every chance you get!
Our “angel blues” zippy is intended to be gender neutral. the buttery soft material will have you wanting to snuggle up with your little one all day long! these are made from 95% viscose from bamboo & 5% jersey fabric. the hands and feet can be folded over into mittens & socks, and they will have transparent silicone grips on the foot
